Don't judge the book by it's cover. Sure, it's a simple truck parked in a random spot next to a more random convenience store. Sure, it's a slightly sketchy location. But it's Riverside. Anything on Riverside is slightly sketchy... but not really. Never mind all that. It's really good food and great portions for the price.
We were trying to decide between here and Chilantro for dinner. We were not disappointed the we decided to try Salsa and Kimchi. We will be back! -

Have you been looking for a perfect random sketchy spot as an Austin food truck adventure?
FOOD//
We ordered pork katsu, bunch of dumplings, and kimchi fries - OH MAN, I was so shocked by its quality. Let me start with pork katsu...the breading on the pork was so thinly, but crispy up to taste. The ratio of meat and breading was on par as well. Next, dumplings...I really really liked how well the dumplings were fried. It was definitely kept in the refrigerator beforehand, but it was sooooo goooood. Like calm on, why is this place not been recognized. Kimchi Fries... I won't critique too much because I was too full by when this came out.
ATMOSPHERE//
The location of this food truck is sketchy, out of nowhere.. more like unexpected place. However, it caught our eyes because of "Kimchi." - we are Korean, lul.
SERVICE//
The gentleman inside was super friendly and explained well for us.

The egg rolls are my favorite in Austin, I've had pretty much everything on the menu and you cannot go wrong in my opinion. The chicken is flavorful and cooked perfectly.

Yesterday my daughter and I tried this place out for the first time. They are located in this little food trailer park 11444 Manchaca Road.
We had lunch there and decided to try the potstickers to start OMG they are amazing so delicious get them with Dragon Sauce. We finished those in a blink of an eye wishing we had ordered more than 4 LOL.
My daughter had the chicken kotsu plate she loved it. Generous servings ..the plate came with rice, kimchi and egg roll. She thought everything tasted delicious!
I had the chicken teriyaki it's served with white rice , a veggie egg roll and daikon (which is a sweet radish) let me tell you I absolutely loved it.
The owner was friendly and personable and answered our questions since we were first time customers. I highly recommend that you stop by and give Salsa And Kimchi a try. Your tummy will thank you! Lol
I know that my daughter and I will definitely be back soon.
Gosh writing this has me thinking about those yummy potstickers! -

Came here during hours they say they are open (1245-1pm on a Thursday). But not open. Disappointing b/c drove out of the way to come here. Tried to call before to verify they'd be open but but number went to voicemail. Took a chance that their posted hours would be accurate but was disappointed.
